The Launch of New Port Klang - Johor Rail Feeder Service

KTMB MMC CARGO ("KMC) is pleased to announce the launch of its new Johor (PTP/ Johor Port/ MYPGU) - Port Klang (Westports/ North Port) slots-sharing rail feeder service.

Branded as "Symphony Express Train", the maiden train voyage will commence on the 23 July 2021 (Friday) from Johor Port (MYPGU), followed by the return leg on the 28 July 2021 (Wednesday) from Port Klang to Johor.

This is an important milestone for KTMB MMC Cargo as it marks our commitments to provide reliable and efficient services aimed specifically at customer needs. Currently, we are running an average of four (4) dedicated block trains frequency per week for our major shipping lines apart from this new slot-sharing service.

Integrated Rail Inter-terminal Transfer operated by KTMB MMC Cargo in collaboration with major shipping companies between Johor Port/ Pair Gudang- Tanjung Pelepas Port - Port Klang-Penang is aimed to alleviate congestion at seaports. It is also an alternative mode of transport to mitigate ocean feeder connectivity constraints and to reduce environmental impacts from road haulage transportation.
